Alex hesitated before speaking up. "We've been getting these weird notes for weeks. We thought it was just a prank, but this one seems serious."

As he entered the house, he called out to see if anyone was there. The only response was the sound of running water. Jack cautiously made his way to the bathroom, where he found the shower still running. He turned off the faucet and peeked inside the shower stall. As Jack pondered the mystery, he heard a noise coming from the kitchen. He turned to see Tom and Alex sneaking into the room, looking guilty. The only response was the sound of running water

"Are you guys sure you want to do this?" Jack asked, feeling a sense of unease.

As the night wore on, Jack, Tom, and Alex snuck out of the house and made their way to the old warehouse. The building loomed before them, its windows boarded up and its door covered in dust.

The man, whose name was revealed to be Mr. Fixit, had been using his plumbing skills to create elaborate pranks. He had rigged the shower to run continuously, just to see how long it would take the boys to figure out the mystery.
