The story begins with Soori's village being affected by the sand mining activities, which are causing massive damage to the environment and displacing the local residents. Soori's father, a respected and honest villager, is killed in a brutal attack by the mafia. Soori decides to take on the mafia and seeks the help of his friend, a cop named Anthony (played by Suriya).
